The
Rice Krispes has 4 grams of protein when it is eaten with milk, 35 grams of
total carbohydrates, 255 milligrams of sodium, and 170 calories. 3 McDonald’s pancakes
with syrup have 530 calories, 105 grams of total carbohydrates, 610 milligrams
of sodium and 8 grams of protein. 2 scrambles eggs without butter have 12 grams
of protein, 8 grams of fat, 140 calories, and 65 milligrams of sodium. My
hypothesis was supported because even though the pancakes have 8 grams of protein;
they are empty calories not filling you up but wanting you to come back for
more. The eggs are more nutritious
and higher in protein, protein stays in your system longer
which will keep you feeling full on fewer calories. The rise
krispies will only keep you satisfied for so long before you get the grumbles
because it only has 4 grams of protein.
The serving sizes of these products are a bit
ridiculous if you ask me. The cereal barely fills up the bowls I have at home
and I find myself going back for more or having to stare at the clock till you
hear the lunch bell. Also the pancakes are kind of small, they are a good size
for kids, but adults might go buy another stack. The cereal is only 170
calories because you get a bit size of the food but in reality most people eat by
how big there bowl is most likely causing the nutrient numbers to increase. The
egg portion is normal because if you have too many eggs than your cholesterol
with increase.
