There are several causes of pimples and most of them are related to the causes of acne. The skin below and around the follicles is constantly shedding and growing new skin. During this process dead skin can become excessive to the point of the pores becoming clogged. This can also cause over production of sebum. Over production of sebum leads to the formation of bacteria which causes pimples to form. Bacteria can cause the skin to swell andd bulge and even cause the pimple to puss.
Another cause of pimples is overwashing. When you overwash your face the skin makes too much sebum which leads to the making of more pimples than you had before you started overwashing. You shouldn't wash your face more than twice a day. Of course, underwashing isn't a good idea either. Underwashing causes dead skin cells, dirt, and oil to sit in the pores and clog them.
Yet another cause of pimples is something none of us can avoid, sweating. Sweating can become blocked by sweat that doesn't evaporate. The sweat sits in the pores clogging them. This can be avoided by showering as soon as possible after sweating and wearing clothes that fit loosly. Athletic equipment and clothes made out of nylon or spandex trap sweat causes groups of pimples.
Hormones also cause pimples, exspecially in women. Hormones cause the body to produce more sebum than usual. More sebum means more pimples. Women tend to have more pimples and bigger breakouts near their time of the month because of the rush of hormones. Medications such as anti-depressants, steriods. epilespy medication, and certain kinds of birth control pills can cause acne flare ups. These acne flare ups cause huge groups of pimples to pop up. Be careful about what medication you take and if you want to avoid breakouts then you should read labels on medication or ask you're doctor to find out if that medication causes acne.
There are a lot of causes of pimples which makes getting them practically unavoidable. Most people will have at least a few acne flare ups in their life time. It's just part of life. It's all about finding ways to to deal with it. For more information about pimples and acne in general, go to http://www.wendysacneproductreviews.com/causesofpimples.html
I hate zits, they always have a way of sneaking up on you. Too oily? Crazy zits. Too dry? More zits. There's no way to win.
