Does your nose really keep growing as you age?

I have always wondered if some ones nose really does keep growing even after every other part of their body stops growing. So why would some ones nose keep growing even after the rest of their body stops growing? Well what happens is as someone gets older their body starts to stop growing, but even though the rest of their body stops growing over time for some reason their nose just keeps growing. As someone gets older and their body stops growing for some reason their nose will seem to keep growing. Have you ever wondered why this happens? I know I have always wanted to know why this happens. So let’s see why this happens.

The reason that our noses seem to keep growing is actually caused mostly by gravity. As we get older our noses don’t keep growing, in fact they drop, and that is why a person’s nose looks even larger as they get to be older. This happens because as you get older the collagen and elastic in our skin starts to break down, and our skin loses its strength and suppleness and the pull of gravity starts to wreak all kind of havoc upon our bodies. This is also the reason why people’s ears look like they are getting larger as they get older.

Is there any way to stop gravity, to be weightless, to avoid the relentless downward pull on our bodies? There isn’t really any way to do that, gravity is always going to be around. There is really no possible way to stop the effects of gravity, even if someone could figure out a way to stop the effects of gravity it would still only be temporary. That would not really help stop the effects of gravity, because a person can not totally stop the effects of gravity, but a person could try to slow down the effects of gravity if they could some how figure out how to stop gravity.

So there you have it, a person’s nose does not really keep growing as you get older it is simply just skin becoming loose and gravity pulling the loose skin down. So now that we know this does it really seem that bad that some ones nose will seem to keep getting larger as they get older? I think that it is not that bad and that people should not worry about this as much as they do. Do you think that people should just let gravity do what it is supposed to do and not try to make it stop from giving them wrinkles and making their noses seem larger? I think that people should just let gravity do what it is supposed to do and not try to mess with it, just let nature take its course. I really do not see a problem with gravity pulling the loose skin on my body down as I get older, because it is natural. So what do you think about this?

  1. How does the change in position of the nose and ears make them appear larger?

  2. I guess your perception is kjinda different. It's not like the bone itself is sagging, but the skin is getting a little flimsy so it must have more room to stretch out. In any case, though, I don't think the fact that it's natural is a valid reason for not gettin g surgery. For one thing, they proibably get surgery because the nose is ugly, not because it moved down too much.

  3. That would explain it. However I don’t think that the size difference is so obvious that one would need surgery.

  4. The downward pull is so gradual over your lifespan it really isnt even noticable. Your view of yourself is constantly changing. Your perception will change with your nose so that nothing seems exceptionally different.
